Open Question: Writing Help! Paper due tomorrow!!!!?

Monday, May 12th, 2008

I totally beyond suck at pursuasive writing, and I have to write a short essay about school uniforms. This is what I have so far :

Uniforms is a matter with many differentiated opinions. People believe it is identity theft. Others believe it is a way to show someone’s given identity, like what school they go to or what state they’re from. I believe it is an unnecessary issue. Children are encouraged to express themselves in a proper way. The way one dress is a proper way of expression. It isn’t necessarily based on looks, however, its personality, and some people don’t like wearing the exact same thing every single day! Uniforms are steeling peoples identity. However, the way of dress does show unity, It specifies a school in which a child might attend. It shows the same level of class and allows equality between the rich and the poor. They also save families extra money.

Any suggestions on persuasive techniques?
Also, help on the intro and conclusion please!. Im in 7th grade.

It’s still not a sure thing that, if implemented, the more modest and politically popular 9/11 commission guidelines would strike the right balance among state’s rights, personal privacy and the need to stop identity theft.
